It feels like it's been 40 days and 40 nights of snow. I can't believe it all started a little over a week ago. Two back-to-back blizzards dropped 50+ inches on our region. It broke all kids of records and is definitely the most snow I've ever seen. Ever.
In order to properly enjoy all the extra time on our hands we planned lots of fun activities. Christopher even made an agenda so he could have little boxes to check off.

In addition to lots and lots of sledding and shoveling, we made Valentine's decorations...
Played tea party...
Spent time with family...
(Christopher and Uncle Chris are watching TV at Nana's house)
We were silly, very silly...
And we played more legos, pirates, princesses, puzzles and books than I can even begin to describe.
It was a lot of fun and a WHOLE lot of exhausting. According to Christopher, it was a success!

Surprisingly the kids played very well together all week. As compared to our regular life there was far less fighting, far more cooperative play and very little time outs. For that reason alone I am not too sad about the "
heavy snow" coming our way in the next couple of days. I've enjoyed being home together as a family, but when the preschool called to say they were on for Friday morning, I leapt for joy.
Love the craft projects! Abby has recently discovered that Daddy really does drink tea, so we've used the real stuff for our tea parties. Not a great idea for a 30 month old - she spills. A lot. It's worth it, though!
ReplyDeleteGlad the snow from last night was nothing for us - how did you all make out?
