Happy 5th Birthday Hannah!

Last week my little girl turned FIVE! Craziness all around, I tell you.

The best part of the day was Hannah telling everyone, "Now that I'm five I can ask Jesus to come live in my heart!" She's been asking since she was three and I've been telling her she's too young. For more than a year she's been praying, at least four times a week, to get her heart ready for Jesus. Needless to say, I have not been the least concerned about her salvation.

When she prayed she said, "Mom, I want to say some things on my own and then you help me with the rest." Her own prayer was, "God, thank you for letting Jesus come and live in my heart. Please help me understand what that means." Oh, how I love my girl.

She chose a pool party with a cookout at Grandma's house. Once again we scoured the videos on howdini.com and found this flip flop cake. It was super easy... just followed the video directions.

I didn't take a lot of pics this time around, but I promise you there were lots of kids and lots of family, lots of fun and lots of food.

Happy Birthday to my beautiful girl! I'm looking forward to getting to know the five-year-old you!

  5. Love it! It is funny that Ella can't help but blow when near candles :-) Is it weird that the thing that jumped out to me in this post is that you wrote "Grandma's house"...almost made me tear up. So glad Hannah's bday is a bright spot in a tough few weeks for Maloys!
