We each got to invite three people. I chose my husband, and my brother Dave and his wife Julie. Corinne chose her sister Marissa and two friends, Jen and Holly.

Saturday was the big night!! Our sushi chef, Ruben Valdillez, of Sushi~Go~Guy arrived early to start setting up.

When the guests arrived he started rolling out the sushi. WOW! Every bite of everything he served was amazing!

After we had stuffed ourselves on his sushi, it was time for our lesson. Ruben showed us the best way to spread the rice, lay out the insides and roll the whole thing up.

Then it was our turn to try!

Beautiful!!

But, we soon learned that Ruben's sushi tasted much better than our own... so he brought out some more! We sat and talked and laughed and ate sushi and drank wine and had an amazing night.

He finished it all up with a dessert roll. It was out of this world! Sweet tofu, cream cheese, strawberries, mango and kiwi all rolled up in rice paper. Unbelievable. (Yeah, that's me posing with the dessert roll. None of the 20 pictures I took did it justice.)

If you are in the Baltimore/DC area and looking for something different, this is the party for you! Ruben was very professional, the sushi was delicious and the price was phenomenal. There was more than enough to eat and even some leftovers. If you have any questions about throwing your own sushi party check out the Sushi~Go~Guy website for contact information or email me directly at amy(at)flexibledreams(dot)com.
