While I was away last weekend with Ember, Matthew took Christopher on his very first Cub Scout camp out. I asked him to PLEASE document everything, because that's important to me. I have the greatest husband ever and these are the pictures I received, on my phone, while I was away.
First of all, they stayed in a CASTLE!! How cool is that.
And the playground was an enormous pirate ship.
Christopher got to do all kids of BOY activities.
They shot guns
Learned to use a bow and arrow.
Christopher got to take pictures of Daddy using a bow and arrow.
He learned to use a flint to make a fire (this is two seconds before he got it started).
And he built something out of wood.
He also heard campfire stories that have had him terrified of murderers climbing in his window during the night, but I guess that comes with the all-boy territory. Even so, he said it was the best trip ever.

Yay for the coolest almost-SEVEN-year-old ever!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, Matt's wearing the hat I got him from Bolivia!!! that makes me super happy.
When did he get big enough to shoot a weapon! (I love how proud he is pulling that arrow out)... and I say that because mine is not far behind. Weren't they just tiny babies?
ReplyDeleteWow, they crammed a lot of activity into that sleepover!
ReplyDeleteGood on Matthew to document so well in your place. :) Looks like they both had a great time!
ReplyDeleteLove that Matt took pictures! This totally makes me want to have a boy.
