Kids Say The Darndest Things #62

Hannah: Mom, I wish we had a limousine.
Me: A limousine! Why do you want that?
Hannah: So we could sit in the back and listen to music and watch a movie in the pool.
Me: A POOL!!
Hannah: Yeah, limousines have pools in the back.
Me: Who has a pool in their limousine?!
Hannah: Polly Pocket.

Christopher: Mom, will you play Legos with me?
Me: In a minute.
Christopher: A real minute?
Me: In a couple of minutes.
Christopher: What is the exact minimum number of minutes?
Me: Never mind. Let's play Legos.

Me: Please go brush your teeth.
Hannah: Why?
Me: Because I bet your mouth tastes gross.
Hannah: Yeah, it's got that morning feel in there.

This one may only be funny to me, and anyone who knows that our friend Cree has been trying to teach my kids some German words.

Hannah: Cree-bop! Cree-bop! What does that even mean?
Christopher: That means hammer in Ohio.
Me: Do you mean German?
Christopher: No, Ohio. And also in Ohio sprick-sprack means pliers.

  1. LAUGHING OUT LOUD FOR REAL!

I believe the accurate etymology of "Cree-bop" has a lot to do with Creebarb and Creebob.

  3. In a Minute is the biggest lie I have ever told. So sad. :( She has luckily not caught on to me just yet about a real minute and an extended-minute. It works in her favor at bath time, and my favor when I need a computer moment!
