Clifton StrengthsFinder: What Do You Love?

It's been a while since I last posted about StrengthsFinder but that doesn't mean I haven't been thinking about it and pursuing my certification. I've been enjoying my one-on-one and team sessions a lot! The more I coach, the more I learn.

I found this list on the Clifton Strengths Finder Blog. It is taken from an article* written by Dr. Laurie Schreiner and Dr. Chip Anderson, Azusa Pacific University Center for Strengths-Based Education

My strengths are in red.

Achiever- loves to be challenged
Activator-loves to learn by doing
Adaptability-loves flexibility
Analytical- loves to think critically
Arranger-loves to design their own educational plan
Belief-loves to see the value in the course.
Command-loves to make their own decisions
Communication-loves to tell their story
Competition-loves to be the best
Connectedness-loves to see the connections between courses
Consistency-loves fairness
Context-loves to know the background
Deliberative-loves to think it through
Developer-loves to encourage others
Discipline-loves organization
Empathy-loves to understand how others feel
Focus-loves to reach their destination

So, I am a person who loves information, telling my story, the process of learning, designing my own educational plan and seeing things through to completion. EXACTLY!

  1. I highly recommend taking the quiz. Despite the frustrating either-or choices where I felt neither was the appropriate answer, it turned out surprisingly accurate!

  2. I love the explanations listed here! I did the strengths finder test a couple of years ago, and while the explanations in the book made sense to me (for the most part), seeing the concise explanations on this list clarify it that much more. Thanks! :)
